Much the same words as were put out on April 9, 2003, though not nearly as compelling as the Mission Accomplished photo op on May 2nd.

A bonanza for construction companies. Keep your wallets open. You pay.

tvoivozhd---figure the first three or four years will cost us four hundred billion. Bahrein, Kuwait, Qatar, the Emiratew are delighted with a U.S shield over them that costs them nothing in fiat currency or blood, and with the apparent giving up of nuclear weapons by Iran as a threat to them like Saddam was (wait and see if the Iranians are any more truthful now than in the past)

As Powell said (not one of my favorite persons after extracting defeat from victory in 1991), in the Middle East Chinashop, "you break it, you own it".

A Manhattan Project in switching to renewable enerby would have been a better National Investment---but then the Oil Maggots---Bush, his superbribers Cheney, Halliburton and everyone else in the oil and coal racket couldn't get rich at taxpayers's expense. Fundraising ability is the only one that counts---having no brains, no ethics and complete unconcern for basic national interests is almost as advantageous as lack of brains and ethics.

All the electrical energy the U.S. uses could be supplied by solar concentrators (not PV) in a fifty mile radius from Gila Bend.
