How about a Pacific Island Canoe? Read Steve Thomass' book "The Last Navigator." In it he tells a story about a boat blown off course for several weeks until the came within sight of Guam. Rather than putting in a Guam he turned around and went back to Satawa because now he knew where he was. I meet one of the passengers on that boat and he wants a grant to film the carving of a canoe.
