My plan is to avoid any entanglements for as long as possible.

tvoivozhd---Had a seventeen-year entanglement myself which my wife wanted to end---couldn't really blame her, too much time on the road and out of the country, though later her Schadenfreude friend appeared to have a large role in her decision.
A couple years later she wanted to remarry, but by that time it didn't seem to me a good idea. Worst effect was the demoralization about being separated from still young children---took several years to recover from that shock. Didn't have long term effects though, all my children and some grandchildren sift through here fairly frequently as does my ex-wife. Keeping tabs on the estimated time left to me, which is comforting, and my oldest daughter and I keep an even closer track of their affairs via almost daily phone conversation---really should set up an Internet phone connection for that..

The youngest boy turned 40 two days ago. Am somewhat bemused by the fact that it looks like he will be even more successful than his two very successful brothers---he is the only child that did not attend College and receive one or more degrees they found essential to their chosen profession.
