I have two planted in zone 6 and one in zone 5. The two in zone six were in full sun, planted in May and they flowered all summer..just fading now. They were only irrigated twice and it's been an incredibly hot and dry growing season. The one in zone 5 got a bit more water but much less sun and was not as prolific a flowerer...but the plant seems to have held it's own. Very curious to see how the zone 5 plant does next year since we generally get snow there by Thanksgiving with 10 to 12 feet total by April...but then snow is the great insulator.
