Sorry, I don't understand this post. Do you mean it's a matter of time before insects invade the peppers? I've been growing sweet and hot peppers for 30 years, and they've not been bothered by insects after the seedling stage, at which time aphids congregate. I think some growers use pesticides on peppers whether or not they need it. USDA (or some government agency) recently issued a tale of which vegetables had highest pesticides and which had lowest. I thought the whole study suspect because they had peppers as highest and broccoli in the lowest category.
