I think I should be tempted to put in
something on Mark's narrative strategies in order to make the stylistic unit as
large as possible. Almost anything of Elizabeth Struthers Malbon (perhaps her
essay in Capel Anderson and Moore (eds) Mark and Method), and something
from Joanna Dewey on orality -- The
Gospel of Mark as an Oral-Aural Event: Implications for Interpretation in
McKnight and Struthers Malbon (eds.) (145-63) The New Literary Criticism
and the New Testament (Pennsylvania: Trinity Press) 1994 and perhaps Tannehill
1979
The Gospel of Mark as Narrative Christology
Semeia 16 (57-94).
This may not be at all what you want, so please ignore if
not....
