OK, it may be hopeless, but I'll try again, this time with no smileys.

Q. Does FreeTDS work with XYZ?

A. If XYZ is capable of calling a library written in C, has TCP/IP networking, an ANSI C compiler, and adequate build tools available,[1] and has a reason to function AS A CLIENT to database servers from Microsoft or Sybase, the answer is yes. For everything else, the answer is no.

[1] Less common toolchains may require additional build support.
