ok, didn't realize we were talking sql any here. SQL Any supports only
5.0, 4.2 doesn't work, period. By the time TDS support was added to sql any,
Sybase had moved on to 5.0. SQL Any prior to 5.5 can not be used with
FreeTDS at all.
SQL Any first supported TDS in version 5.5.03 (I think) using the
OpenServer Gateway (OSG) which is a simple TDS -> Watcom protocol gateway,
and natively in version 6.0, I believe.

O believe every college course in fortran after the VAX era was taught on
watfor, I had the joy of taking both types of classes ;-)
