Hmm, I do remember that thread, but assumed it was unrelated since I
never explicitly attempted to change the textsize.

If I include 'set textsize 1024' at the beginning of the query, then the
query succeeds without memory allocation problems.

With the exception of this one text-handling glitch, I have not yet
found any problems with the current CVS -- but then, I am not a heavy
MS SQL user, so I'm sure there are others much better at regression
testing than I am. ;)

I would guess that this is a change either in sqsh 2.1, or in the
defaults used by SQL 7.0 GA; I get the same memory allocation error when
using either DBD::Sybase 0.91 or 0.93. Haven't installed sqsh 2.1 yet,
but that's next on my list... I'll be sure to let you know how the
behavior I see with 2.1 compares.
