Hi there
I will enter into a Phd in Theology soon.
I wish to gather some scholarly feedback before
jumping into the deep waters.... I would like to
study the conversion of Paul and how it relates to his
writings --esp. Romans and possibly Hebrews. I have
noticed that many approaches to Paul in the past (from
Bultmann back to Holtzmann )have de-emphasized the
supernatural aspect of understanding Paul and his
Theology. Also I have noticed that Santala, and the
Jersualem School of Synoptic Gospels is becoming more
influential. There is also EP Sanders and NT Wright
working in this area also. Would it be possible to
construct a proposal that would include material from
the later perspective with an emphasis on the
supernatural aspect of Paul's conversion? I would
also like to read more about David Trobisch recent
material on the Paul's letter collection where he puts
forth the concept that all 13 letters of Paul
including Hebrews circulated together. Have any of the
contributors to this forum reviewed his theory yet?
I hope that someone can give me some feedback via
corpus-paul or directly to asiatrek AT yahoo.com. If
this request clears the moderator I appreciate
everyone taking their time to read this post.
