Many thanks for all the help offered on this project. It is amazing what is
out there. Here are two further questions based on the observation that
Benjaminites were famous for their left-handedness (e.g. Judges 3.15;
20.16; 1 Chron 12.2).

a) what evidence is there to support the apparent consensus that Paul was
himself left-handed (leaving aside for the moment the catacomb
portraiture)?

b) Is anyone aware of any "left-handed readings" of Paul. There is a
growing body of literature on both the social function and neuropsychology
of left-handedness, but as yet I am not aware that this has been applied to
readings of Paul. See e.g. S. Coren, The left-hander syndrome: the causes
and consequences of left-handedness (London: Murray, 1992); J. Herron
(ed.), Neuropsychology of left-handedness (New York: Academic Press, 1980);
G.R. Bock & J. Marsh (eds.), Biological asymmetry and handedness (Ciba
Foundation symposium 162; Chichester; New York: Wiley, 1991).

Thanks once again.
