Hmm, the version of "Touch the Sky" I downloaded on 3/24 claims that it's 6:41, but I just went back and listened to it all the way through again, and it's actually only around 2:53. Does the same in 2 different music players . . . presumably some header thing, or a VBR thing, I dunno.

Anyway, I apologize for improperly impugning your pop-brevity sensibility! Mea culpa! I *did* listen to the song last week, but wasn't looking at the player at the time, and only noticed the apparently lengthy timing later. I guess my memory of it didn't extend to how long I thought it was while actually hearing it . . . ;-)

I'm corn-fused, Ross. Neither song actually goes longer than 2.5
minutes. We're big on brevity. Where did you see something tagged as
6:41?

I gotta say, while I'm a fan of dudes & guitars & singing, 6:41 is a
very LONG dudes/guitars/singing song-length!

I know, it's so *easy* with the computers & whatnot. Maybe you should
pretend you're recording on some sort of magic magnetic tape that costs
$1000 a minute . . .

Hey kids,

We in Shake Some Action! (my Seattle band) are recording our record
using some of these new fangled tools on the internets to document and
release free downloads from our third record as we write and record
them. We've released two songs already and more are on the way.

If'n you're a fan of dudes with guitars and people singing and stuff,
feel free to mosey over to http://www.shakesomeaction.net/blog. On
the right you'll see a section called "completed songs" and those
links take you to the downloads. Just click on the song title within
each post and then you can download (or just listen) from there.

Best,
Gary
