So driving thru Tucker, GA this morning (suburb just outside ATL), I
saw this series of signs someone planted in the median of Northlake
Pkwy, which services Tucker's sprawling mall-opolis ( = ~
4xNewHopeCommons + UMall + SouthSquare).
At intervals in the median were little handmade signs, the size of the
Kerry yard signs, for example, that read, alternately: "Don't Fear -
Christ is the Anti-Bush" and "Have Faith - Christ is the Anti-Bush".
What an unexpected formulation - it actually took me a minute to
process. Of course, it's the obverse of this slogan that really grabs
me personally, but in any case, it wrinkles the oversimplified
Bush/red states/moral issues/evangelical Christian conflation.
