i had the tandoori chicken just last night and if that's chicken in a bag, it's really *good* -- and spicy -- chicken in a bag. beyond that and the garlic nan, i cannot say, but i trust the longhairs.

Really? They must've shaped up a bit (or a lot, actually) since that first couple of weeks they were open.

Not that I would ever hold a restaurant's first couple of weeks against it, but the genericism of the buffet selections was so profound (tell me: do the tandoor chicken chunks come in a big giant poly freezer bag with the red stuff already applied, or does that part happen locally?) that I didn't see why I should hit that particular stripmall vs. any other indian-buffet-in-stripmall.

This was more than a little perturbing to me, since the owner of Spice & Curry is the guy who owns Udupi in Cary, which is quite possibly the best Indian food in the Triangle.

But so anyway, if you two longhairs are gonna sing the praises of Spice & Curry so loudly, then I'm going to have to bump them up on the list for a return visit.

I'm guessing they don't have any dishes that involve sticking a bird inside of another bird inside of a third bird, do they?

Nobody really answered you then, Ross, but it spawned a nice discussion

The (relatively) new Spice & Curry place at 54/55 is pretty rockin'. The
Mutton Rogan Ghosh and Lamb Vindaloo are highly recommended. There's a
buffet during lunch hours.
