Title: Re: [Cc-nz] Fliers from the launch
Thanks very much for your response, Leigh. Louise O’Brien said she’s been in touch with you – part of your development work.

I’ve attached a copy of the flier. Seems I only have it in pdf – please feel free to modify it. In its modified form it will undoubtedly be of use to us as well.

On the other things, I’ll pick up a conversation after the Board meeting in a week’s time.

Best wishes
Brian

Hi Brian, no I didn't get a response on that flier request. The fliers that you used at the launch, we have been copying them and leaving them in a stack at our office. We go through 10 a week! Would be nice to have a flier that covers CC BY some day. Our admin assistant has it on her list of things to do, the original file would save some time there.

As for the promotional CC event. Otago would love an opportunity to talk about its move to CC BY and its IP Policy <http://wikieducator.org/Otago_Polytechnic/Intellectual_property> . I am writing a 1000 words for CC Aoteoroa soon after Feb 20 on the request of someone from up there (name escapes me, is in my email). So perhaps that article could be the _expression_ of interest?

Thanks for the invite Brian, I would very much like to help and change the unfortunate reaction of those academics you mention.

Regards
Leigh

Hi Leigh

I have to apologise to you for getting badly behind (1),  and for somehow failing to introduce myself to you at the launch (2). I had intended to learn much more about the background to Otago Poly's decision to go with CC. There was an interesting moment at a recent Council meeting when a statement assuming the self-evidence of open institutional repositories for publicly funded research was made, and some of the academics at the table responded in surprise (not pleased) to the idea.

That said – did you sort the issue below?

And, I would like to start planning for a promotional CC workshop in education, which it would be great if you, Robin and your institution could lead. We're having the next Board meeting on Friday week, and the sketching out of the year's plans will be done then. Just an indication of interest  - I don't expect that you've got any truly free time! - would be helpful at this stage.

Best wishes

Brian
