HTML 4.0's <link> tag has made RSS extremely easy to use. However, Creative Commons makes no use of it, preferring instead either an anchor somewhere on the page to the license, or RDF data in a comment. Shouldn't we support a <link rel="copyright"> linking to the proper license page? It seems like a more standardized and safe way of noting CC licensing than the two formats we currently use.

rel="copyright" points to a copyright statement for the current page. It is a part of the HTML specification.

rel="license" points to a license for the current page. It's already in use on the license picker thingie on the CC website. Personally I don't see why there's a need for rel="license" when rel="copyright" already existed. I mean, a copyright statement is a license too... Anyway, I guess it doesn't hurt to use both.
