Just to avoid confusion, a person who creates a new work that
is functionally equivalent might want to avoid the word "derive", etc,
and use the word "inspired by" or something similar.

So in this case the copyright notice could be like above.
In fact, the work is enough indipendent to be considered mine -I am the only copyright owner- but I recognize x as inspirator of the work, on a moral level.
This allow people to trust that any eventual bug or misfunction of the work is related with his developer an not with his inspirator.
