Great job, John and all!

I know how much sweat there is to pull up
a site like that - thank you very much!

Quick feedback on appearance:
how about using EU blue rather than black?
Or CC green?

Maybe it is just me, but I find all that black
somewhat ominous.....

Thanks!

jc

Hi all,

this is just a quick announcement that the (brand) new CC Europe website
went live some 2 weeks ago under

    http://europe.creativecommons.org/

Apart from some discussions with CC HQ about how best to sync this kind
of redirect with CC's ToS, the platform works fine and fulfills the most
important tasks, i.e. provides a contact point and a publication channel
for all European CC leads.

It is a Drupal 6 install hosted on one of the EEAR servers in
Saarbrücken, Germany. As one first additional feature theres a
syndication block of all the news feeds of your projects that I managed
to subscribe to (some don't seem to be available in proper RSS, though).
Other modules are going to be built into the site over time. If you
have any suggestions, just tell me - there's probably a module for it
already out there.

The other main strength of Drupal is a clead account management, so we
have an internal space on the site for which I'll send out login details
to you individually. After logging in you can see additional content and
edit stuff, upload etc.

If you have news you want to see posted in the main CC Europe blog, you
can send me any text right away (maybe something about the Free Culture
Research Workshop?).

best regard from Berlin,

John
