This kernel works on the Toshiba, where the built-in driver for RTL8139 PCI chip connects to LAN and internet. Also has built-in AC97-i810 sound.
Similar to my lafb-cb 2.4.31 kernel but I dropped scsi support. I think I also dropped PLIP and PPP support since it is for network use, and ISA.
8139too module inserts if you boot it with the other kernel but will not ping anything on the network. Use the other kernel for modem/plip.
Not fully tested but sound still works. I hope scsi was not needed for usb storage. I left it supporting 586/686 though it is 700Mhz (PII? PIII?). Plenty of memory here.
I will compile custom kernels on request to solve similar problems.
