Basiclinux is first on list of four that are NOT listed as hardware specific (along with Vectorlinux) but they imply that the latest version still uses 2.2.16 and Slackware 7.1. Should I write them or do you want to do that, Steven?
BL is not listed under floppy disk distributions, just small disk.
I ran across this while researching small linux kernels.
Many small distributions include abiword.
Does the BL abiword work with plugins? There is an 849K package of import/export filters, including one based on libwpd for Wordperfect 4 through 11, and one for dealing with the man page format - which would let us read man pages with abiword, and one that exports LaTEX.
Maybe libwpd could be used without abiword.
People object to my sending them Wordperfect because WORD cannot import the tables, but apparently Abiword can do that (for 5 not 4) and then export as rtf. Also extended ascii.
