- Subject: [BL] mplayer says my PC is too slow
- Date: Fri, 2 May 2008 14:30:21 -0300
I tried to watch to a Video CD file but David Moberg's mplayer says my Pc is
too slow.
In fact, it shows a few frames and stops. The sound is bad.
Pressing "play" again it continues playing the next few frames, and so on.
I tried many different settings but it's still the same.
My PC is a Pentium II with 48mb ram and a 1mb Trident video card.
My monitor is an interlaced Philips 14B, 800x600.
In Windows 95 I used to watch this same VCD file with no problems, even in
medium screen mode.
How can I manage to make it work?
Is there a way to get a lower quality of video and sound in order to improve
the speed?
mplayer gives a lot of information but I can't read them all.
Thanks
Teixeira
