I seem to connect to the Internet but every site I try fails
so maybe not.
How exactly is it failing? Try accessing them by number rather
than by URL. For example, Slashdot is http://66.35.250.150
Does that work?
How exactly are you connecting? Dial-up modem? Router?
Did you edit the nameserver lines when you did pppsetup?
Or you can directly edit resolv.conf and put in the DNS servers that your ISP uses instead of Steven's defaults.
