WP51 under dosemu:

I was wrong, Shift-F6 works under xdosemu and dosemu.

So WP51 under xdosemu would need some changes to icewm, at the very least.
But that still would not guarantee that key combinations of WP51 would
work under xdosemu.

In icewm all the Alt-F keys have functions that I don't think I can remap.

So I tried WP51 in plain dosemu on a VGA screen (because mdacon won't show underlines and VGA can be set to do so).

Alt-F1 through F4 predictably change vts. Alt-F5 to F10 do nothing at all.
(Under Xdosemu Alt-F1 to F10 do nothing at all)

Ctrl-F1 to F10 do the same as plain F1 to F10

Shift-F1 to F10 work properly.

My conclusion is that WP51 is only barely usable under (x)dosemu.

On the computer with ATI AGP card Xvesa does not crash on exit.

I will use a text editor (which does work properly under dosemu except for a few features) on short files with short lines, and maybe some day learn to type rtf tags for center or underline. Or Abiword once I set it up for BL2 (I need to add xset or something that David explained). I could also do my typing with the text editor and import the file into Abiword to add underlines, which would certainly be easier to learn if not to do.

Are there mouse-free non-X text editors that display with lines wrapping in between words?
