The problem is that underlines come out as bold.
So bold comes out the same way? Does anything produce underlines
properly in mdacon?
I am one of those people who cannot remember the meaning of colors and I was not able to use Wordperfect with red signifying underline or block or I forget what, and blue background. I managed to get a black background and underlines but not bold on a VGA monitor.
For the TTL monitor I specified bold italics underline as: bold, reverse, underline. They display as bold, normal, bold.
There may be some sort of conflict between reverse and underline and bold such that only one can display on a page - I ran across something to that effect. In DOS I can see bold and underline properly with lynx (I don't care about italics and don't recall how they show up). Lynx does show some things as reverse.
I don't have dosemu set up here to experiment with.
Unfortunately I need to use both bold and underline on some pages that I translate, such as birth certificates where some text is bold on the form, and the handwritten entries are translated underlined.
