Any particular reasons for this? I can't think of any good ones. If
you really want to use some obscure audio device, you should probably
use an OSS wrapper and/or emulation layer. A/V sync and buggy OSS
drivers are not a problem, as this is the audio-only version which
we're talking about.
SDL seems to just take up space and slow everything down.
SDL will probably still be included in the full-size version.
