I've just uploaded a new add-on for BL3.
It's Matanza, a multi-player game played over a network.
You simply run the Matanza server on one computer and all
the players connect to it using (ordinary) telnet. You
will be amazed at what comes out of your telnet client.

Matanza is a space battle with real-time graphics. Kill
or be killed. You move your ship around the universe,
fire three kinds of weapons, and send messages to the
other players. That's it. It's not very sophisticated,
but it does have the big advantage that it is easy for new
players to pick up. You and your friends can be blasting
away in minutes.

Matanza needs no configuration and it does not authenticate
clients, so it could be used as a simple tool for testing
a network. Start Matanza on one system and try telneting
to it from other systems on the network.

Cheers,
Steven
