I also have booted BL3 from FreeDos. The first couple of times I tried I
had to start FreeDos without autoexec.bat or config.sys in order to boot
BL3. The machine was a 486/66 with 8 meg RAM. I changed the hard drive
into a 486/66 machine with 16 meg RAM and BL3 booted OK from a normal
startup of FreeDos.

Are you saying you boot BL3 with loadlin from Freedos and Xvesa works
fine? If so, do you have to abort Freedos' memory management stuff
(like
you have to under M$DOS) before running loadlin? Or does Xvesa work
fine
in your setup even when running loadlin from just a regular Freedos
session?

Thanks, James
