I'm booting BL3 and X off a FreeDOS system. Works fine. May
be just a little out of date, but I wouldn't have expected
an slightly old kernel to affect X.
The only thing FreeDOS has over DR-DOS is openness. In my
experience, nothing touches the capability and solidity of
DR-DOS (not even MS-DOS, big surprise).
