BasicLinux uses /etc/rc as the primary configuration file.
It is used in the ramdisk version of BL2 and all versions of
BL3. Slackware, on the other hand, uses a whole bunch of
configuration files in /etc/rc.d. Since the HD version of
BL2 is designed to provide a Slackware foundation, it uses
Slackware-type configuration files (in /etc/rc.d).
