SUCCESS !!!
MO drive works with Linux! (my appreciations
to James Miller who led me to
marvellous linux.com HOWTOs).
The solution was quite simple:
1) insmod ide-scsi # the module's from SW 7.1
Now /dev/sda 'virtual' SCSI device appeared.
2) mount /dev/sda /MO
Note it's been done with 'BzImage' kernel.

Which bzImage kernel? I think Slackware calls them all by the same name but puts them in different directories on the CD or at the website. I have used a /net.i/bzimage, for instance, as well as the /bare.i/bzImage.

I used general-purpose '/bare.i/bzImage', it's obvious.
With the BL3 one insmod said it has some 'scsi_... unresolved externals'.

Well, the original problem remains:
how to make such mounts permanent?
Edit fstab or mtab? (For instance, '/DOS'
mount found in the mtab only).
But both of them seem to be readonly ...

Can you add the above lines (insmod and mount) to rc.d?

My gratitude, it works fine.
(except for that the file name is '/etc/rd' - no extention).
