THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY TRUE. FOR CD-RW'S YOU NEED A CDBURNER/SOFTWARE TO
READ BUT FOR A MULTISESSION DATA CD-R, ALL OF MY COMPUTERS (2
P133'S,1-486dx-no burners or software to burn,) CAN READ MULTISESSION
CD-R'S IN WINDOWS OR LINUX.THEY ARE MOUNTABLE IN LINUX(LINUX COMPLAINS BUT
EVENTUALLY READS THE DISKS). CD PLAYERS CAN'T READ MULTISESSION MP3'S.
I'VE NEVER TRIED BOOTABALE CD'S. THERE MAY BE A CONFLICT IN THE SPEED THE
CD IS WRITTEN TO. I USE A 12X CD-R BURNER AND AM ABLE TO READ IT ON A 2X
CDROM ON A COMPUTER, HOWEVER I CAN WRITE A 2X CD-R THAT MOST CDROMS CAN READ.
IF
YOU USE A 52X CD WRITER YOU MAY HAVE PROBLEMS READING THEM ON OLD SYSTEM
CDROM. YOU WILL SEE THIS ON SOFTWARE PACKAGES WHEN THEY SAY:" YOU NEED AT
LEAST A 12X CDROM PLAYER OR HIGHER" TO READ A CD.
