I looked at ltools several years ago.

I seem to remember there were a load of docs and java graphical bits, but
underneath it all there were some commandline dos tools.

I'd experiment a bit - keep the zip file so you can restore if you need to,
and boot to real dos and try the .exe/.com files. Then delete everything
else and try again.

I have a vague feeling I found there were a handful of .exes that I needed,
and I just copied them into a directory in my PATH and blatted everything
else.

IIRC they were stuff like ldir (dir on linux fs), lcopy, etc - analogous to
the mtools package for DOS floppy access under linux.

Also, tell us how you get on. I seem to remember it being a bit wobbly
when I used it - it gave too many errors for my liking, so I started to
fear for my linux filesystem. Mind you, that was about 5 years ago, so it
may well have improved since then.

By the way, I seem to remember that it only lets you copy from/to linux - it's
not like mounting a DOS partition under linux where you can edit in place,
etc.

Let us know how you get on,

Ian
