Very bad.

I doubt whether replacing /sbin/init will fix it. I suspect
the kernel is not finding init because the filesystem is stuffed.

Probably not.

The most important things to save are the configuration files
in /etc and /root (and /home/whatever, if you configured a user
account). The eznet configuration file is in /var/eznet.
The icewm configuration files are in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icewm.
