One additional note has to be made. OpenOffice requires, according to
their website, at least 800x600 resolution. Thus, you probably should
forget xvg16.tgz and download the appropriate X server for your system
from slakware/x1. Monitor HorizSync and VertRefresh as well as the
complete video card information should be collected before starting
