And to this I would add that the module/file (ntfs.o, if Russ' guess is
right) needs to be put in the directory /lib/modules/2.2.16 . Once it's
there,

insmod ntfs
---------------------------------------

(again, assuming Russ' guess as to the module's/file's
name to be correct) will start it. The insmod ntfs line can be added to
one of the startup files (/etc/rc.d/rc.S ?) to load the module on boot
each time the computer is started, if so desired.
