It is useful to have those numbers. You will be able to
put them into your xf86config.

The BasicLinux X installation gives you a generic VGA driver
(Xserver). If you want higher resolution (or more colors),
you will need to install a better Xserver from Slackware 7.1.
There are several high-resolution Xservers to choose from.
You must choose the correct one for your video card.
Do you know the name of the video card in your computer?
For example the video card in my computer is a Trio 64V+
-- that card needs the S3 Xserver.
