No, "ba'adi" does not mean "me from" in modern Hebrew either. It could mean "for me". In general, I would be wary of using Google translate for anything but a very general idea of the meaning of phases.

Beats me. It might be modern Hebrew.

 

Modern Hebrew is a very different creature from Biblical Hebrew—different grammar, different vocabulary, different spelling, different expressions, etc. I don’t know modern Israeli Hebrew, nor other cognate languages, hence my understanding of Biblical Hebrew is uncontaminated from such sources.

 

All I know is that such a use is never found in Biblical Hebrew. My answer is based on Biblical Hebrew, not other cognate languages.
