pere,
כָּהֵם, יוּקָשִׁים בְּנֵי הָאָדָם, לְעֵת רָעָה, כְּשֶׁתִּפּוֹל עֲלֵיהֶם
פִּתְאֹם.
"equal to them (will be trappad) the humans, at a troubled time, AS IT
(the troubled time) falls upon them suddenly."
the problem is, first, the initial L-, second, the subsequent K$-.
the initial L- is BH and may be translated, here, as "at the time of". the
subsequent K$- [probably short for the earlier K)$R] is not typical
BH, and appears mainly in Ecc. it is one of the arguments for this book
being very late. it may be translated as "when, as, while".
as kirk explained, $- or K$- necessarily defines a noun clause, and
one expects the noun to which the clause refers to be the last noun
before the K$-, i.e. "bad times".
nir cohen
>>Ecc 9:12.
Is the noun 'et (ra'a)' the grammar subject of verb TIPOL?
