Maybe Hebrew speakers (like myself) are influenced by modern (spoken?)
Hebrew, where AKHBAR = mouse, HULDA = rat?

Being a woman whose first name is Biblical, I'm especially interested in
Biblical women and have never been too happy with the name Hulda = rat.
Where do you get the idea that Hulda means rat?
We find in 1 Samuel that the word for rat is עכבר in reference to an
apparent outbreak of bubonic plague.
The Biblical Hebrew dictionaries I bought indicate that חלד is a mole.
So I am puzzled.
…
The word Holed = rat appears only once (Lev 11:29).
However, the word Heled = world or lifetime appears 5 times (e.g. Psalms
42:20).
So, perhaps the names Hulda and Heled are related to Heled = world or
lifetime.
I suspect that this is more accurate.
