How about Josephus?
Antiq. 1:180 (1.10.2.180) where Melchizedek, king of the city Salem, received
him. That name signifies the righteous king; and such he was without dispute,
insomuch that, on this account, he was made the priest of God: however, they
afterward called Salem Jerusalem.
How about Psalm 76:2?
His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.
Funny how in a a Psalm of Zion, Salem just happens to be mentioned, no?
Could this be because Zion is in Salem?
Best Regards,
Matthew T. Williams
