Do you think that, say, King David spoke to his wives and children "Biblical Hebrew", which he employed so skillfully in composing his Psalms, or did he possibly speak at home a more utilitarian and grammatically tamed Hebrew, akin to the "modern" Hebrew spoken today?

Do people talk like they sing or compose poetry today? But it's still the same language.
