Pere,
Both the hiphil for B/Sh and NMQ imply rot or decay -
the first literally means "what causes to go bad > smell bad > make
displeasing over time"the second literally means "what is sunken down"
Given these meanings ChaBuRah, generally understood as a wound, is probably
an ulcer.
The second part of the sentence literally means:M...      "from" => "as a
result of" or "due to"P'Nae     "the many faces" => "presentations, aspects"
of/eeVaLTi  "my behaving presumptiously" => "my foolishness"

Hi, list.

I'm struggling with Ps 38:6.
Among others, I read these translations of the verse:

--My wounds fester and stink because of my foolish sins.
--My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness
--My wounds stink *and *are corrupt because of my foolishness.
(This last one is KJV)

Does this make any sense for us, readers of century XXI?

Is someone on this list able to compose an understandable translation of
this verse?

In Ps. 6:9 I find BIKYIY, 'my crying, my BKIY'. In Lev. 19:25 I find
PIRYO, his fruit, his PRIY', and in Lev. 25:19 I find PIRYAH, 'her
fruit'.
In Lam. 1:2 I find LEXYAH, 'her cheek, her LEXIY'.
