   George, do you really believe that poems like Gen 49 or Ex15
and texts like QOHELET were written in the same period?

     I am a great admirer of Ian Young's scholarship, but
cannot accept his conclusions. Though it is true that
diachronoic markers in BH are not easy to find.

   And what relation has the final reduction of Genesis
to do with  various components which the editors chose to
leave? Consider Gen. 31:53, the spirit of which would be
anathema to a late monarchic redactor.

Genesis definitely reflects the monarchic era at the earliest (cf. Gen 36.31).
