Yeah. That's the way I've usually developed HTML pages. I know lots of
developers like to have a development box and a production box but there's
nothing more irritating than developing something on a development box you
believe to be a complete clone of the production environment only to later
find that what worked on your development box doesn't work on your
production box because of some slight difference in configuration (i.e.
really difficult to identify bug that causes you to waste a lot of time). In
my limited experience it has saved me so much time just developing straight
away on the production environment. I find these simple editors invaluable
and well suited to the task.

By the way, a true vi editor is hard to come by these days. Most editors you
may think are vi are actually a soft link to Vim which has much more
functionality.

Anyway, how is pico for utf-8 support? Can you enter and edit Hebrew out of
the box with pico?
