Well watered areas in warm climates are some of the most fruitful
areas for farming. Look on Google maps, satellite view, and you will
find fields to the south and east of the Dead Sea, right around the
areas where the ruins of Sodom and its sister cities have been found
and identified. There are still fields there today, but can you image
how it must have been before the area around it became a desert? In
other words, how much more fruitful it must have been during Abraham’s
day?
