I take it by 'Jim' you are referring to me? I don't think that this is my reasoning. I was just reporting something that may help ascertain where this belief came from.

In non-scholarly literature, it is a quite popular assumption. It is worth
asking where this assumption comes from (at least in my opinion).

That was the question I was attempting to provide information for.
