Not to defend the theory of a book authored by Terah, but I was curious how
this would turn out using the figures from the LXX, which presumably reflects
a different Hebrew text-type than the MT.

1642 Noah was born and lived 950 years
2144 Shem was born (Noah was 502 and lived another 448 years)
2242 The Flood
2244 Arphaxad was born (Shem was 100 and lived another 500 years)
2379 Cainan was born (Arphaxad was 135 and lived another 430 years)
2509 Shelah was born (Cainan was 130 and lived another 330 years)
2592 Death of Noah
2639 Eber was born (Shelah was 130 and lived another 330 years)
2744 Death of Shem
2773 Peleg was born (Eber was 134 and lived another 370 years)
2809 Death of Arphaxad
2839 Death of Cainan
2903 Reu was born (Peleg was 130 and lived another 209 years)
2896 Death of Shelah
3035 Serug was born (Reu was 132 and lived another 207 years)
3112 Death of Peleg
3143 Death of Eber
3165 Nahor was born (Serug was 130 and lived another 200 years)
3242 Death of Reu
3244 Terah was born (Nahor was 79 and lived another 129 years)
3365 Death of Serug
3373 Death of Nahor
3449 Death of Terah at 205

At least in this tradition Terah does not predecease any of his ancestors.
Its actually a bit more believable, credible, than the outcome of the figures
preserved in the MT.
