Interesting, but what does it prove?
Christianity, and with it an appreciation for the Tanakh, arrived in Celtic
speaking areas by the second century AD, if not earlier. During the medieval
period, Celts in Ireland and Wales got a reputation for Biblical
scholarship. How many phrases were taken over from Hebrew to Celtic by those
scholars? In the same manner as I read some German slang in an Asterix comic
book “Tohu wabohu”?
Further, idioms do cross linguistic barriers, or are common to many.
