Hi Karl!

Any subject is potentially a can of worms. I do, however, think we can
discuss linguistic dating 'safely'.

Some of the issues you raise are precisely some of the points which Young et
al. also raise. I commend the volumes to you when they are published.

Some texts can be dated based on the content rather than linguistic features.
For example, Ezekiel and Jeremiah cannot be earlier than the late 7th century
BC.
