Yitzhak,
If ANI can mean "It is I," perhaps that is what it means in Isaiah 47:8 and
10, especially since it is translated as EGW EIMI in the LXX (I believe)
which also means "It is I." But here it is not in response to a question,
"Is that you?," but in a setting of self exaltation. (That also got me
thinking of John 8:58).

Yigal gave you an example in Modern Hebrew.
In 1 Kings 18:8, you see an example from Biblical Hebrew: "Ani."

As you know, my own field of interest is the Patriarchal narratives.
=20
I myself see the Patriarchal narratives as having been composed in the=20
mid-14th century BCE, with very little editing thereafter.
=20
As to the Patriarchal narratives, and ignoring for the moment the rest of th=

That is to say, please set forth one or more actual stories in the=20
Patriarchal narratives that, in your opinion, are manifestly out of place in=
the=20
well-documented secular history of the mid-14th century BCE.
=20
The mid-14th century BCE is such a very short time period, and is such a=20
peculiar time period, that if the Documentary Hypothesis applies to the=20
Patriarchal narratives, it should be child=E2=80=99s play for you to list
